Claude Code is Anthropic's coding agent that reads a codebase, edits files and runs commands from a terminal, editors, web or desktop app. Not included in the free Claude plan; paid plans start at $20 a month.
Claude Code is a coding agent made by Anthropic. You describe a task, and it reads the project, edits files, runs commands and tests, and reports back. The vendor says it can handle work from small bug fixes to large migrations, and it asks permission before it changes files or runs commands unless you choose a more automatic mode.

The main interface is the terminal, but it also has extensions for VS Code and JetBrains editors, a web version, the Claude desktop app and iOS and Android apps. It runs on macOS, Linux and Windows. According to the product page it runs locally and talks directly to model APIs, without a separate backend or remote code index.
It connects to Git, GitHub and GitLab to read issues, write code and open pull requests, can be started from Slack, and can run in GitHub Actions. MCP servers extend it to other tools such as databases and monitoring services. This makes it suitable for people who want to hand a task to an agent and review the result, rather than type code line by line.
Access comes through a paid Claude plan or through API billing. The free Claude plan does not include Claude Code. Pro costs $20 a month billed monthly, or $17 a month when billed annually. Max starts at $100 a month. Usage limits apply on every subscription and are shared with regular Claude chat, so heavy coding sessions can use up the same allowance you use elsewhere. Team and Enterprise seats are also available.
Claude Code is an Anthropic product, and Toolsfine's Ask answers are drafted with a Claude model. We apply the same fields and wording standard to it as to every other coding tool.
No. The free Claude plan does not include it. You need Pro ($20 per month billed monthly, $17 per month billed annually), a higher plan, or API credits billed at standard rates.
