MusGen is an AI music generator that turns lyrics or a text prompt into a full song with melody and vocals, with free daily credits and paid plans for more.
MusGen is an online AI music generator. You paste your lyrics (Lyrics to Song) or describe an idea (Text to Song), choose styles, vibes, tempos, instruments and a male, female or random voice, and MusGen writes the melody and vocals so you can hear a full song in minutes. You can also make instrumentals, upload a song or a voice to work from, or sing with your own voice.
Around the generator there is a wider toolset: AI lyrics and rap generators, song covers, hum to song, AI voice cloning, text to speech, a vocal remover and a 12-stem splitter, plus music video, photo video and lip-sync video tools. Songs can be made in many languages and downloaded as WAV, FLAC or MP3. MusGen is run by AIYONG TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED in Hong Kong.

The free plan gives 8 credits a day, and each song generation costs 3 credits. When checked on November 7, 2026, monthly plans were Basic at $14.90 a month with 150 credits (shown as discounted from $22.60), Advanced at $29.90 and Flagship at $59.90. Yearly billing costs less per month, and one-time credit top-ups start at $50 for 2,000 credits.
The terms of service say subscribers own the content they create and can use it for any purpose, commercial or personal. Free users keep ownership of their content but grant MusGen a license to use and display it in connection with the service. Paid plans also remove watermarks from downloads.
According to the terms, a subscriber who has not used any paid features can request a full refund within three days of purchase by emailing support. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
